Buttons & Bows Nursery
We offer learning that has the child at the centre of all we do. The team are passionate about open ended, natural learning that includes the access to outdoors and the natural world at all times. We base our environments and learning around the children and provide multiple opportunities for children to be curious and excited about the world around them. Our focus is supporting children to be strong, confident, independent individuals that will grow to reach their full potential in life.
The nursery is located opposite the Hawthorn Drive Shopping hub and within the grounds of the Oaks Community Primary School, the nursery has its own private shared car park with the school and access is via a cordoned pathway through the car park entrance. We have three playrooms and cater for babies, toddlers and preschool children. There are ample outdoor play areas for all ages including a large oak tree with a swing, a wooden rope bridge and an outdoor classroom. The children also have daily visits to the woodland area and playing field of the Oaks Primary School.
The staff team are very experienced and knowledgeable in many areas of childcare and learning. Our team includes a Qualified Forest School Leader who provides learning about the world we live in and the wonders of nature. Through weekly sessions in the woods and in our newly developed “Outdoor Classroom” area, our passionate Forest School Leader gives children the opportunity to be independent, identify and assess risk and to feel the wonders of the natural world around us. Our qualified SENDCo is experienced in supporting the needs of children with a wide knowledge of health and developmental needs. We have a Level 1 British Sign Language signer who is experienced in supporting children and staff with sign language and communication.
The relationships we have with our families is our strongest feature. This sees families return time and time again with other siblings and family members. We pride ourselves on our secure partnerships with parents to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating experience for all children who come here.
